*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Hi friends! My name is Jody and I am a smart, sassy pretty lady who is looking for a lifetime of love and fun! I am a 2-year-old, 30-pound pittie princess who is available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation. I have gorgeous fur that is as white as snow, but my unique face really highlights my personality! My brindle-colored spot on my face brings attention to my eyes filled with devotion. I am always getting compliments on my big, silly ears! And can we talk about my heart-shaped nose? That pretty much sums me up: I wear my heart on my sleeve, err, face! Fetching Tails Foundation saved me from Chicago Animal Care and Control, where I was brought in as a stray. I much prefer the rescue life to living on the streets, let me tell you! I love hanging out in the fenced yard where I can sniff and play my favorite game called zoomies (foster mommy says I could be an Olympic-level sprinter!) I love to zoom and could chase a ball all day if you are into playing fetch. I am also a HUGE fan of long walks, and would even be a good running buddy if you need a partner to keep you motivated...I am happy to go at whatever pace you prefer. I am a great coach, as my happy tails just keeps wagging the whole time! But my favorite activity in the whole, wide world is playing with toys. And by playing, I mean seeing how fast I can chew them apart! Foster mommy says I am proving to be an excellent quality tester of so-called indestructible toys, but I love that she always has more toys waiting for me. I hope my adopter will continue to enable my toy habit! But I am not an overly energetic girl: when playtime is over, nothing makes me happier than curling up on your lap or under your arm for a snuggle while we relax on the couch. I definitely excel at enjoying that lounging lifestyle, too! I am a special girl who is looking for a very special home. I can be shy with new people, so I would love a calm, quiet home with a devoted, savvy dog person to call my own. I would do best in a childless home as the little humans spook me. Other than my shyness, I am a very well-behaved girl with great manners! I have attended training classes to work on my confidence and know so many commands including sit, watch, down, and leave it. I am potty and crate trained, too. I love to learn (especially when I get my favorite snacks such as apples, bananas or carrots as a reward!), and FTF will require my adopter to continue lessons with my trainer (and good pal!) so I can adjust well to your home. I think it will be fun to show my forever person everything I have learned so far and continue to learn and bond with them so we can have the best life together! I am looking for that one special person who wants my delightful company, will enjoy training classes with me, and who will enjoy a nice walk then cuddle session afterwards.
