About Eleven

*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Howdy, friends! My name is Eleven (some of my BFFs also call me Elle), and I am a silly, playful young girl who is as one-of-a-kind as my unique name! I am an 8-month-old pittie mix who is looking for a forever home through Fetching Tails Foundation. I am pretty gorgeous, don't you think? I have golden brindle-patterned fur (brindle pattern means that I have stunning swirls and tiger-striped patterns all over my body like an abstract painting!), and I am even more unique because of the snow-white hair on my nose, chest, front arm, and the tips of my feet. As if that weren't enough, look into my loving eyes: aren't they a beautiful hazel shade? I know, I know, looks aren't everything, but my personality is even more attractive than my physical features so it is ok to humble-brag a little bit! I currently weigh in at about 60 pounds, but I am still a growing girlie and will likely get even bigger, as you can tell when you look at my big silly paws that I trip over when I am excited! My Fetching Tails friends saved me from Chicago Animal Care & Control, where I was brought as a stray; I was found tied to a fence and some kids were throwing bricks at me, but I didn't let that unkindness ruin my positive attitude! I love life in my foster home, and am an affectionate, playful lady who is happiest when I am putting a smile on the faces of everyone around me. I am a young pup still, so of course my favorite activities in my foster home include playing and running around in the yard, and hanging out with my doggie foster sister Rey, who is a pittie mix like me. My two biggest wishes for my forever home are that I have a fenced yard to play, play, play in and a doggie friend to romp with then cuddle with once our energy is spent. When I am zonked out from my playtime, nothing makes me happier than curling up for a cozy nap with Rey or my foster parents. And I would make an excellent family dog, as I adore humans of all ages! I promise to make you laugh all day, every day; I aim to entertain! For a young adult, I have some pretty excellent manners already. I am potty trained and also crate trained, though I whine a bit when I first go in mine because playtime is over. Since I am just leaving that puppy-stage, I can still be a bit of a chewer so a crate is the safest place for me when left unattended while I continue to master my manners. Fetching Tails requires adopters of young dogs like me to sign up for training classes with their new pups, and I am super excited to see how much I can learn in a formal class setting. I am a people pleaser, and would love to learn more of the tricks and commands I see my doggie friends perform. I love life, and am so excited to start my fun adventure with a forever family to call my own.
