About Ellie

Hi everyone! I'm Ellie. I am just a baby at about 12 weeks old. I am a very special girl who will require a very special family.. I am pure beagle but born blind which is why I am special and looking for a home that has extra patience and the proper environment for me. Just like a human my blindness has not slowed me down as I still have a voice (I am a beagle after all), and I have a heightened sense of smell and hearing. I did have a nasty fall due to a noise that startled me and I broke my right elbow which is now on the mend. I have figured out how to climb stairs, just not go down yet and would probably do best in a home with minimal stairs. Otherwise I'm a happy, healthy girl looking for my forever family. Do you have what it takes to raise a Blind Beagle? I really love people and will give you lots of snuggles, kisses and playtime. I have TONS of energy! I am good at entertaining myself but can get bored quickly so having an older playmate who will play with me but not get too rough would be awesome. I love to run and sniff around the yard, I can be a little silly doing this as I like to run in circles. I have not been exposed to cats yet. I have just begun working on my basic commands and will need someone with extra patience to work with me. I am working on potty training so you will need to continue to work with me until I get the hang of it. Another thing about me, just like all puppies, I like to chew on everything. Fingers, other puppies, etc. and I am learning that's what all these puppy toys are for. My new home will need to be puppy proofed and have lots of chew toys and supervision while I continue learning.
