About Freddy

Lab / German Shepherd
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Freddy is about 12-14 weeks old, abount 15 pounds and he is a Statia pup! What is a Statia pup? Statia dogs are mix breed pups with smooth soft coats and funny big ears and they are from the island of St Eustatius. St Eustatius is beautiful but life can be hard for dogs there. Franky and his brother Freddy were dropped off at the shelter just before all 3 hurricanes hit the island. The first time they opened their eyes was probably during a hurricane. Lucky for them, the kind people at SEAWF shelter took care of them until they were able to bring them to FHDR. The breeds on the island are different than in the US, so we can't tell for sure what breed Franky, but we know he is 100% sweetness. We also think he will be on the smaller size for a Shepherd mix. Freddy's foster family says...'Freddy is unbelievably sweet! And, he is a bundle of affection! Freddy is fabulous and docile, yet very playful and perky. He absolutely adores other dogs! Freddy has a tail that does not stop wagging and he does this cute wiggle. When you walk towards him or you are just getting home, Freddy wags his tail with so much excitement that he can't even stand still. Another thing is even if he wants to play, if you lay down with him on a couch or a bed, he will not lay anywhere else besides right next to you. Freddy also doesn't bark a lot only when he is trying to ask you to go out. He is great with sitting and getting used to laying down when you ask him. When we take him out and come back inside, he runs as fast as he can right back to the door and then he puts his front two feet on the ledge waiting for the door to open! Freddy loves to relax on towels, jackets, and just about anything soft and warm! He is a complete cuddle bug and loves to be simply be with people. He Loves People! Freddy makes us laugh when he grabs his toys from the toy box and carries them around. Occasionally he brings in a shoe or two! LOL! Give Freddy a belly rub and he is one happy puppy! Freddy makes us laugh a lot%BD'%BD| when we sit on the floor, he will run up to us carrying a toy or lay down with us. He is irresistible! Freddy sleeps through the night without having accidents and he is house trained%BD'%BD| he will cry when he wants to go out. Freddy loves to please and he is a very smart puppy!' We listed Freddy as a special needs pup because he has been diagnosed with a mild case of CMO. CMO is an affliction that effects the jaw bone. Freddy's vet said his prognosis is very good, and he currently has no restrictions or side effects. He is eating good, he is happy and he is playful. Freddy is winning everyone's heart! If you have a furever home for this pet, please e-mail Furever Home Dog Rescue at [email protected] and request an adoption application. Please note we do not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be alone all day. The breed and age of this pet is listed as is our best guess. We have no background info on who the mom and dad are. We do not have a shelter facility you can visit. Our volunteers foster the dogs and pups in their homes once they have been vetted and transported here to NJ. Please read our homepage www.fhdr.petfinder.com to read how the adoption process works. And, please visit Furever Home Dog Rescue's homepage to see some of our many reviews. Thank you!
