About Franky

Franky is about 15-20 weeks old, about 25-27 pounds and he is a Statia pup! What is a Statia pup? Statia dogs are mix breed pups with smooth soft coats and funny big ears and they are from the island of St Eustatius. St Eustatius is beautiful but life can be hard for dogs there. Franky and his brother Freddy were dropped off at the shelter just before all 3 hurricanes hit the island. The first time they opened their eyes was probably during a hurricane. Lucky for them, the kind people at SEAWF shelter took care of them until they were able to bring them to FHDR. The breeds on the island are different than in the US, so we can't tell for sure what breed Franky, but we know he is 100% sweetness. We also think he will be on the smaller size for a Shepherd mix. Franky might be the goofiest, sweetest puppy you will ever meet! He is enjoying life in his foster home in NJ. His foster family says... 'Franky is so loving and eager to please! He is happiest when sitting with us getting lots of cuddles. He hears us tell him 'good boy' so often he's starting to think his name is actually Good Boy! When he gets excited, his body wiggles uncontrollably��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD'��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD| it's the funniest thing! It's like he's a little wiggle worm! He can't help but spin, wiggle, and hop around like a little pinball!! He loves to play with my dog and give her sweet puppy kisses. Franky is so sweet and loving to everyone he meets and will give everyone puppy kisses. He is easy to train because he wants to please. He sleeps through the night without accidents��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD'��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD| he is house train and will cry or he will ring the bell hanging on the door when he wants to go out. And Franky knows the words potty, out, walk, hungry and no. Franky truly is the perfect combination of energy and calm!'
