When Goliath was found and taken into Rescue he was thin, had pneumonia and a severe case of heartworms. The Vet said he had a 50% chance of surviving. A year later he is healthy and weighing in at 100 lbs. Heartworm negative and pneumonia free. This boy has been through it and overcame it with love and good quality care in his foster home!! He will ONLY know love and good quality care for the rest of his life, as I am searching for that special family that will give him this. He is around 4 years old and is a Rottweiler mix. He is a BIG teddy bear!! He gets along great with other dogs, but I recommend a home with only large dogs. He chases the cats, so a home with no cats. Because of his size and strength, no small children, no exceptions. He will need a tall fenced, secure, large size yard to run around in. He walks good on a leash, but he is heavy and strong. So he will need a home that can also handle him. He is house trained and does very well when left alone in the house. I can see the happiness in him now, especially when he's outside rolling around in the grass and playing with the other dogs. He is a totally different dog from a year ago. He is neutered, updated on shots and micro-chipped. I call him Big Boy, so he thinks that's his name! :) If you know that you can give this Big Boy a home like I just described, then please apply to adopt him.
