About Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea came to us as a stray quite a while back and a few months ago we brought her into our home; hoping she and our present housecat would get along with each other. But sadly; Sweet Pea; probably due to being traumatized by other animals while she was a stray; can not get along with our very sweet housecat. If he gets anywhere near her she hisses; growls and lashes out. Twice after one of these encounters she ran into another room and vomited; so clearly she is just too deeply afraid of other animals to be adopted into a home with other pets. We brought her to the vet where they found she had already been spayed. They gave her a rabies vaccine and flea treatment. She seems to have painful hips; probably an old injury or arthritis; so the vet gave us a prescription for her for Cosamin. She is VERY sweet and lovable with people and LOVES to snuggle sometimes; laying between our feet if we are sitting in a recliner. She is virtually blind due to her eyes being crossed; as is common with Siamese; so she needs to be in a place where she can't fall into anything dangerous; and can NOT go outside at ALL. When she was still outside, she almost got run over by a truck backing up because she was totally unaware that the tire was about an inch from her. We have not been able to go camping because we have a tiny camper and there is no way we could bring both cats; who don't get along at all; into a tiny space; so we are slightly desperate to find her a good loving home. We would be willing to meet anyone who would be a good fit for her who wants to adopt her, driving up to 100 miles to deliver her to you. She is a sweet little cat; and we long for her to have a good safe loving 'forever' home.
