Josie is currently located in Simi Valley. Josie is a highly intelligent & stunning 5yr old female German Shepherd, approximately 70 pounds. While heads turn at her beauty, it's her classic GSD personality traits that make people fall in love with her - loyal, protective and loving. Josie is a typically active Shepherd who thrives when she has a job. She sailed through obedience classes, and has completed a year of nose work training. She is at the point where she could be enrolled in competitive nose work trials. Josie needs an active home that can keep her mentally and physically stimulated - she does searches at home to keep her mind busy, and loves hiking, walking and is a good running partner. While Josie needs a home without small dogs or cats, she could possibly thrive with a larger, dominant male dog. She would do best in either an adult-only home, or one with older children or teenagers as small children scare her. Josie needs a dominant pack leader to bring out the very best of her GSD traits. She can be leash reactive to other dogs but responds well when walked on a prong training collar. While she was raised in a home with women, she also does very well with confident men. Josie is spayed, current on her vaccinations and micro-chipped. There is a small rehoming fee.
