Meet RUFUS, a 1-year-old, 20 lb., male Jack Russell mix who was recently picked up as a stray and taken to an overcrowded shelter. Since no one came looking for him, he was at risk of being put to sleep. A local rescue pulled him for a family who expressed interest in fostering to adopt Rufus. Unfortunately Rufus was more than they could handle, requiring lots of exercise, obedience training and socialization. RUFUS once again is homeless and not safe. He is still young and the rescue hopes he could thrive with the right person and training. He does fear bite and needs a person that can work with a canine behavorist/trainer to help him over come his fear biting. If you would like to foster or adopt Rufus and help him overcome his fears, please contact [email protected].
