About Olaf

Adoption Fee: $250
German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Olaf! Olaf is believed to be a white German Shepherd and is 2-3 years old. Olaf was adopted out when he was about 6 months old and returned to AHS in October 2017 at no fault of his own. His family just couldn't commit to the time and energy Olaf needed and felt it best for him to find a new home. Olaf is a very active boy with a lot of energy. He needs a home with at least one other active dog (or more). Olaf likes to play with toys, but prefers to play with other dogs. He loves to run and swim, an active owner or family is a must! He needs more than just play time in a fenced in yard, he benefits greatly going on hikes, runs or swims. Olaf also needs to have mental stimulation, he is one smart cookie! He is great with children of all ages, but due to his size would do best with older children. Olaf needs to have a 6ft fence that is very secure. He also cannot be left unattended when outdoors as he is a climber. As long as you are out with him and engaging with him he should be good. Olaf cannot go to a home that would use a tie out or an e-fence. A physical fence is a must. Olaf is house and crate trained. He gets along well with dogs and cats. He is very food motivated (but can be picky with his food). Olaf would love a running partner or adventure buddy. Could that be you?
