Jasper was rescued in an emaciated and unhealthy state. Following several months of foster care and medical attention, he is a healthy, robust, house-trained boy. Sweet and gentle, Jasper loves a good belly rub. He prefers to be an indoor couch potato. He shared his foster home with three other dogs ranging in size from 18 to 45 lbs., a cat, and a parakeet. He got excited when the cat ran, so they were kept somewhat separated. He prefers not to be kenneled, but it is important NOT to have any socks, towels, or other soft items left out that he can chew and swallow. His foster mom recommends that other dogs in the home should be older and have mellow personalities. They should be given ample time to become accustomed to each other before leaving them to play on their own without supervision. If you have a big heart and a big couch, Jasper may be the dog for you! Estimated DOB: 2012; 80 lbs
