About Scout

Scout is a very sweet and loving dog and it is very hard to let him go. He seems willing and smart enough to learn tricks. Right now he needs very solid potty training and leash training. I have a brand new nice crate for him with a little bed in it and he does not whine when you put him in the crate. I think he would do best in a home with NO other animals and NO kids. He needs ADULTS to train him. He chases my cat and nips and jumps all over my lab and my lab is 11 and will not tolerate it, so really no other pets besides Scout is best. He has a lot of energy and responds very well to one on one training with treats and lots of attention. He will settle down and cuddle up and sleep at the foot of your bed all night. He doesn't bark. Really he just needs devoted one on one attention and I cannot give it to him. I am used to labs and had no idea what a Terrier was like and he is not a good fit with my family. He does like to go after rodents. If he did not chase my cat I would probably try to keep him and work with him on potty training but every time my cat enters the room he goes after it and my cat is too stressed out. I have his leash and collar and tags and some toys and flea medicine to give him for November.
