About Blue

Blue is the biggest love you'll ever meet. He's loyal and so affectionate and thinks he's a lap dog although he's a stocky 75lbs. Blue is very dominate in that he rules the roost. I call him Mufasa because he will sit on his perch (an old wooden chest) and watch the 2 small dogs we have at home. If he has even a crumb of his food left he will run to his bowl and gobble it up..non aggressively, just showing whos boss. He was rescued from a high kill shelter and was 42 lbs when I brought him home, before the shelter took him in he was used as a bait dog for dog fighting. He has a few scars but the worst scars are on his trust for other animals. He does not like other dogs and is always on the defensive side when meeting them. It will go ok for a minute of two but if they turn the wrong way he will attack. This is believed to be because he was constantly being attacked. He loves my male dacshund for some reason but I wouldnt feel ok adopting him to anyone with another dog. We have 2 cats and he will play chase but is easily redirected verbally. He is very food oriented and will respond to almost any command with a treat. Even without one he is eager to please and knows sit, no, lay down, paw and roll over. He is litterally the best dog I've ever met, so loyal and protects his family...I am rehoming him because my neaderthal neighbor feels threatened by pitbulls and is constantly making complaints to the town saying he's a vicious dog. The landlord hates pitbulls and claims she can't get insurance on the house if he's there. It's a constant battle and he deserves security. If I didn't have kids at home him and I would run away and live in a tent!
