My name is: Spot Breed: American Bulldog blend Gender: Male Color: White & black Size: Large Approximate age: 2 years Energy Level: Medium Foster family says: Hi! My name is Spot, but my foster mom (FM) calls me 'Man'. That's because I never listen! BUT I have a good reason. I was born deaf. I will be 2 yo in January 2018. I lived my life, until now, outside, on a chain and not neutered. I really like people and love being indoors. I'm a big boy and I'm trying to learn good manners. It's challenging because sometimes I want to jump up and play and when my FM is signing to me 'No' I think she's just waving her hand to play more. But she's patient. And I'll learn. I've already learned to walk nicely on a leash (I used to pull like a freight train) and I respect my crate time, although, I sometimes whine or bark when I first get put in it. I like to chew on things and, like any kid, I expect constant attention when I'm out, so my FM keeps LOTS of toys on hand. I also like getting treats when I'm good and I know Exactly. Where. My. FM. Keeps. Them! ???? I haven't met anyone that I don't like. I have no food aggression and I play well with others, but maybe a bit rambunctious. I aggravate my foster sister (she's a dog, too) because she won't play with me much because 'she's too mature' ???? I know basic command signs: no, stop, down, good boy and sit but I'm still working to perfect them. It may be a while. I am just a puppy you know. I'll be available for adoption soon. I'll need a family that keeps me indoors and walks me on a leash. Maybe, as I get older, and comfy with my new family I might be okay in a very secure fenced yard...but with constant supervision only because I will get bored and find my way out. I'd also, probably, be best in a home with big kids because, well, I'M a big kid, I'm strong And I'm clumsy. SOOOOO.....if you love me and you know it (don't clap your hands...I'm deaf, remember?) here's my digits: (817) 458-8482. Well, that's actually the number for iRescue, but you can still get in touch with me there. And, please, feel free to share my personal ad. ????????????? Talk soon and much love, ???????? ???? Spot We HIGHLY recommend you take your dog/puppy to formal obedience classes with a qualified trainer. This will help you and your dog/puppy learn and bond with each other. While we do the best to determine the breed of our dogs, the majority are turned in as strays & we have only general appearance, coat type, size, ear type, tail & coat color to base breed on. It is always possible when adopting a puppy that it can dramatically change and look like another breed as it grows up. Our fees are typically $75.00 for adult dogs & $150.00 for fully vetted puppies. Fill out an application at https://form.jotform.com/40468849602159 to add this pet to your family forever.
