Mona may be slightly underweight at 40 pounds, but what she lacks in size, she more than makes up for in affection! Eager to give and get love, this former doggy mama, who tenderly raised seven puppies, is now free to forge a new life for herself. She loves being close to everyone in her foster home -- from infants and children to adults - and besides snuggling and playing with toys, she does great and ignores cats. Sweet natured and moderately energetic, she walks well on a leash and rides equally well in the car , but needs to be an ONLY dog. Highly food motivated, accepting all food and treats gently, she's eager to learn and easy to teach, knows her 'sit' command, and is quickly learning to jump up less and stay down more. Crate and housetrained to use a doggy door, Mona may need time to accustom herself to a new potty routine in the home lucky enough to call her theirs fur-ever.
