About Spanky

Spanky is a wonderful senior dog! Spanky was an owner surrender from a woman that has grown too old to care for him. Unfortunately he has not had a lot of training but is VERY food motivated! So we've started to treat train him with simple commands and he is doing very well! He does very well on a leash and loves to go for walks in the park! Spanky was previously placed in two ther homes arranged by the previous owners and neither home worked out as Spanky did not like the other dogs or small children. We have had different experience with him though. After two days of decompression Spanky is coming out of his shell. He is very friendly with our 10 year old son, and has been friendly with every adult so far, but we will place him in a home with children 10+. While we feel that it would be best for him to be the only pet in the house, we are willing to have a meet and greet with other pets if you're interested in adopting him! He does well with some dogs nd not others. He did come from a home with another pug and seemed to tolerate her ok. Spanky is 12 years old and in immaculate health! He is up to date on everything including dental work. He's a 'Bug.'
