About Poppy

Poppy is an 11 month old female Australian Cattle Dog available for adoption. She's smart as a whip, loves other dogs and bonds quickly with people. She does have some behavioral issues -- mainly that once she bonds with a family she becomes very protective and territorial towards strangers that come into the home. For this reason she needs an adult-only home and someone with previous cattle dog experience that can manage her behavior, and will work with her on training. She has basic obedience training and will respond to commands. In a perfect world we would love to find her a home somewhere on a large property or farm where she can run to her heart's content. She's also a big fan of going on hikes and trips to the dog park, where she is very social. She is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. She weighs approx 40 lbs.
