Bubbles was rescued from a breeding kennel that stopped feeding their dogs. She had never been off her chain, in a car, to the vet, touched another dog except to be bred. Puppies were taken at 4 weeks. She has almost no teeth, and is missing a chunk of her lower jaw. Weighed 24.7 pounds the night we picked her up. She is now a healthy weight, playful, sometimes a couch potato (she is 8 yrs old). She is exceptionally loving to all people, kids. Wants to please. Happy to just follow me around all day. Good with most other dogs after she meets them She will growl at first. I have 8 dogs and I told her no, and in a couple days she's best friends with them and wants to play and follow them around. She has been the same with every animal she has met. She may try to fight if the other dog acts aggressive, and I just pull her back and say NO (she has no teeth) But she does have that flash point where she tries to fight or attack. Today she tried to gum a cat to death that she hadn't seen inside the house before. She would do best in a quiet household. Maybe with someone that understands that everything is new to her, and she gets over stimulated. She is a truly loving dog and deserves to know happiness and love for the rest of her days. She sure didn't know them in the first 8 years of her life. It's amazing to me that she wants approval and love from people like she does after all she went through, but she does. She is spayed now, UTD on shots and worming. Just needs an understanding home.
