About Moo (Milo)

Moo (Milo) needs an experienced foster or adopter ASAP! (Owner surrender) Milo (Moo) will sweep up your heart and take his place there forever. He's sweet, spunky, talkative, and smart as heck. He loves to hang out near you or against you, but isn't needy about it. We don't know his age - veterinarians have guessed between 4 and 10 - how's that for a spread? He acts like he's on the younger end of the range. For all his wonderful traits, Moo is a special needs dog. He is recently diagnosed with Cushings Disease and is on Vetoryl to manage it. The Cushings causes a ravenous appetite, not just for food, but for most anything he puts in his mouth. For this reason, a person whose home is quite tidy is probably the best owner for Moo. He is also a very serious resource guarder and will react aggressively to having food or other treasure taken away once he has his mind set on it. He would probably do best in an only-dog home. He lives with another dog at present, but the interactions are at times prickly. He has been around a cat without causing any problem, but it might be best not to leave him alone with a cat. He should not be in a home with children. A calm, peaceful, environment would help settle his sensitive spirit. His present owner is heartbroken that she doesn't have the resources to manage his challenges. She loves him dearly, as does everyone who knows him. Moo needs a savvy person who can bring out the best in him, knows how to manage resource guarding, and can afford his medical care. In other words, an angel. We know you're out there. If you have the skills and heart to take this boy in, you will be richly rewarded by his affectionate, exuberant nature.
