About Mac

Hi, I'm Mac! When you first see me, you'll love my beautiful golden coat and when you pet me and feel how soft it is, you'll love me even more! I love attention and will sit with you on the couch, walk with you or play with a squeaky toy. I like to go with the flow! I make cutest grin when I'm happy - you've never seen anything like it! My foster parents rescued me from the shelter at the last minute and boy and I am thankful. Now they are looking for a wonderful home for me. I'm house trained and I'm learning commands! They've taken me to the beach and I'm really looking forward to my first swim with my new family - won't you be the one to take me there? I'm very quiet, and I don't bark very much. I'm more of the strong, silent type. I love to play fetch at the park and I especially love to chase tennis balls, especially when there are no cats around! I'm great with people; everyone says how calm I am - but loud noises and children are not my favorite things. You'll love having me around the house - I'll follow you everywhere, help you wash dishes and I'll cuddle with you in bed at night. What more could you want! Now the boring stuff my foster parents wanted to add: Mac is about 3 years old, he's a American Staffordshire Mix. He weighs about 56 pounds - but he's not large, he's compact for his weight. He was never trained as a puppy, so we are leash training him and teaching him basic commands - he's eager to please, but he's a little stubborn. He is very much a lap dog, and once he's on the couch - good luck getting him off. He's very eager to find a permanent home. He has too much interest in cats and wants to chase them - we aren't sure if it's for fun or what. But we'd recommend a home without cats. He seems to be child selective, so we recommend a home without small children. He's very loving, but loud noises and lots of running around him agitate him. He's very healthy and energetic.
