Toby's story is a common one. He was surrendered to us after a lifestyle change happened with his family. Upon meeting Toby, like some dogs, he can be a bit aloof at first and will take some time to warm up to you. But once he does, he will take treats and will happily lean in for massages and butt scratches. He loves to play ball and at times can be over enthusiastic. (br)(br) Toby is sensitive to loud noises, thunderstorms especially, and at times can be a finicky eater. Toby seems indifferent and non-reactive to other dogs during his walks. He has not had any exposure to cats so we are unsure of how he would be. (br)(br) Toby was raised in a home with children but due to his activity level, we recommend a home with older children. Our volunteers have been working him with basic commands, but he will need an experienced handler to help him grow. Toby is up-to-date on all his vaccines.(br)(br) For more information about our adoption policies and to access our online application, please read and review our Adoption Process which can be found on our website, www.GSRNJ.org. (br)(br) GSRNJ does not have its own facility so our dogs are in foster homes. Only approved adopters are able to meet the dogs. We are a 100% volunteer organization.
