About Tux

His adoption fee is $175. Tux will require a canine playmate and a fenced yard. Meet Tux. This handsome guy is a 1.5 year old sweetie. He really is an all-around mixed breed guy. Dad is a variety of breeds and mom is a variety of breeds which means that Tux is his own unique combination of who-knows-what and weighs about 40 pounds. Our best guess is some shepherd and some border collie. Mom definitely has some beagle, but we don't see that in Tux. Tux came to us along with his mom Little Miss, his dad Leo, and his sister Cocoa Bean--all of whom have gone into homes. Tux can be a little unsure of new people and places. However, after he takes a minute or two to size up the situation he is relaxed, silly, and snuggly. He also learns and adjusts quickly to his new surroundings and to new experiences. Tux's greatest love is other playful dogs. Tux would be an ideal candidate for doggy daycare or a dog park. Tux has never really spent much time with cats, but barks in their presence. A home with no cats is preferred. Tux is fine with children and will require a doggy playmate and a fenced yard in his forever home. Tux is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is also solidly housebroken, but has never been crated. He does well being confined to one room of the house when unsupervised.
