William is amazing and hails from Turks & Caicos. He is 3.5 years old, 60 pounds, neutered and is so incredibly sweet, just very submissive. Some quick points on William: -He walks very nicely on a leash -House broken -Does not make a peep in his crate -Great with cats (completely ignores them) -Good with dogs William is a mellow gentleman but has a goofy, spunky side once he gets to know you! He likes to prance around off-leash in his foster's fenced in backyard and will come over when called. He has done really well around his two foster cat siblings, one of which is a flighty cat, but he has shown no interest in them other than a quick sniff in the air toward them and then turning around to leave. He is learning how to accept love, you can tell he really wants to be a part of everything, he just needs a little patience and reassurance that he deserves the love! His foster home is still getting to know him so please check back soon for updates! OPH is partnering with the SAVEDOG Project, the Turks & Caicos SPCA and Old Town Pet Resort to assist dogs who found themselves displaced through Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Through the generosity of these two organizations, we were able to bring in these dogs and ensure they have a bright future! Old Towne Pet Resort in Springfield created a seamless transition for these pups from the shelter to their resort where the dogs are being cared for, evaluated, nurtured and prepared for their forever homes. The SAVEDOG Project provided transportation from the pups from the Turks & Caicos islands. TCSPCA provided care and vetting for every dog prior to the dogs' arrival. OPH truly believes that 'It Takes a Village' to make a difference in the lives of shelter dogs. Through this Operation Hurricane initiative, we have seen the best of our partners and could not be more proud to partner with them!
