BONDED PAIR - MUST BE ADOPTED INTO THE SAME HOUSEHOLD. Hugo. 3 year old Male German Shepherd/Lab mix. Frannie. 3 year old Female German Shepherd/Lab mix. Both spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped. Prefer to be in a home where they are the only dogs. No cats. Adoption fee for pair - $275 Due to Hugo's energy and exuberance as well as Frannie's anxiety, we don't think they would do well in a home with children under 12 years of age. The Love Story of Hugo & Frannie ... it's like the film - When Harry Met Sally - a true romance! Both dogs have sad histories. Hugo was starved nearly to death by negligent owners while Frannie lived on the streets as a stray, fighting for survival from dog attacks and having to search for any scrap of food for months. Hugo, who has a lot of energy and hates being alone, desperately needed a girlfriend who would not be afraid of his size and would play and roughhouse with him.. Before she met Hugo and because of her experiences with other dogs while living the hobo life, Frannie was terrified of other dogs and would react aggressively when they met. Deep down though, Frannie didn't want to be alone either. When Frannie met Hugo, it was pretty close to love at first sight. Within minutes, they were chasing each other, wrestling and so totally thrilled at meeting their soulmates. For the first time in her life, Frannie had found a dog friend and, even better, a kindred spirit! Hugo had finally found that playful BFF who would always be by his side! They each fill the other's needs - dare we say it? - Hugo completes Frannie. Hugo is outgoing and brave while Frannie suffers from some anxiety probably because she had been beaten in her past. Hugo's confidence gives Frannie the courage she needs to handle strange situations and she's learned from him that people are safe. Hugo won't ever be alone while Frannie is by his side. It's truly a match made in Heaven so we want this wonderful pair to stay together forever! Hugo is our vocalist; he will carry on a full conversation with you when he wants to go outside or wants to eat or just wants attention. It's so funny! Frannie is sweet and gentle and gives the best kisses! This duo will make great additions to the family lucky enough to adopt them. They love walks and car rides, but just letting them run and cavort in a fenced in yard gives them so much joy as well! You won't need a TV if you have this pair! They are pure entertainment and such great company! Pull up a lawn chair, grab a pizza and let the show begin.
