About Jazz

his beautiful golden eyed girl just might be YOUR girl! Check out her adoption video here. Jazz weighs about 55 lbs. and is 4-years young! She appears to be a Coonhound-German Shepherd Mix with a little white patch on her chest. This sweet girl loves to have her back and belly scratched. She likes to lounge outside and take in the scenery. Jazz likes to go on walks/runs with you and her foster says she'd be a great hiking dog! Jazz does best with a little room to romp and play. She loves to show off her tricks for a reward (of course) and tends to guard yummy prizes. So, she could use a few positive training techniques for this. A home with structure, consistent training as well as focused socialization, to help her become a well-adjusted family member would be her ideal home. At her foster home, she loves to play with their resident dogs -- a Hound Mix and a Beagle, but slow introduction would be needed when introducing new 4-legged friends. Jazz would love a firm leader who has experience and patience to continue her doggie skills. She would thrive in a home without cats as she does give a good chase and would do best in a home with a submissive dog and or older respectful kids. Her foster family says Jazz has displayed the following while in their care: - very easy going, likes to take naps and hang out with people - basic commands (sit, lay, shake, come, and stay) - crate trained - housebroken - good with the children she has met - has loved people she's met Jazz is up to date with shots, spayed, microchipped and ready to find her furever home!
