About Dove

Dovee is a ringneck dove, age and sex not known. She came in with a terrible infection the owners didn't want to treat, but she is all better now and hopes to find a home. Dave became Dovee's friend here at the rescue. He is about one year old. He was downed in a storm and hand raised, but his rescuer was unable to keep him. Our birds are not available for breeding and we do not ship birds, so you must travel to our south Kansas City area facility. Potential adopters must call 816-356-4700 for an appointment, and must fill out an adoption application and pass a screening interview to ensure that our birds are going to a safe home. There is usually a 48 hour waiting period after your interview before you are allowed to adopt because we want people to take time and think thru their decision. Adoption fee for this bird is $10 per bird
