About Erk (R)

Meet Erk! Erk's owners surrendered him to the shelter on July 14th and reported that he is great with older kids. they said he was 10, but we believe him to be 6-9 years old, acts like 6, according to his teeth and eyes and our vet. hes a big guy, weighs about 73 pounds. He is a very smart boy and knows his basic commands to sit and stay. He is already neutered, microchipped and up to date with shots. cats, not sure, depends on the cat. older kids may be ok. we think erk would be happiest in a calm home where he can get all the attention he is crate trained, and very loving. he will do anything for a treat. hes a great dog. adoption fee donation for erk. UPDATE: Erk is being treated for a positive testing for lymes disease. we have found out that he has an irregular heartbeat, and is on pain meds for arthritis. we do not know the prognosis, and looking for someone who will take him into hospice, and I will pay for his vetting. thanks so much for loving erk.
