Chia is a 1.5-2.5 year old, 12lb Yorkie mix. Chia was rescued from the streets of Tijuana over a month ago. She has been in a foster home in Mexico since (about a month). She was immediately groomed, vetted, and given a safe place to rest for the first time in a long time. Chia was so happy to be cleaned and groom, she just had the biggest smile on her face. She very quickly became a completely different dog. A happy, loving little girl. Sometimes it takes her a couple minutes to warm up to new people, but she quickly becomes everybody's best friend. Chia is great with other dogs and people once she gets to know them. We don't believe she would have any issues with cats, but her foster mom doesn't have cats so we cannot guarantee. Chia loves to spent time with her foster siblings, and does still have some of that young dog energy. That being said she loves snuggling and hanging out. Chia does get a little protective of her home with strangers, but will warm up with a little patience...typical Yorkie. Since she does have that typical Yorkie sass, a home without kiddos may be best for her. Chia just wants someone to finally call her own. She has so much love to give! Chia will need to be groomed regularly to keep her looking beautiful. She is a low-non-shedding dog.
