About Max

Max is such a lover! He's not like your typical doberman because he is about as lazy as they come. I made the mistake of having another Doberman before him and got him. They're only 6 days apart and Max is always trying to show dominance. And its at weird times. He LOVES to play with our aussie mix and wrestle, but if he's on the couch and she tries to jump up near him he snaps at her and goes after. We had Duke our other Dobe before him and then got max when he was 10 weeks old and they were the best of friends but as he got older he got this way. They've gotten in a couple bad fights and I'm at the point where we are all on edge of when he will snap and have to muzzle him a lot. It absolutely breaks my heart BC we have tried so many different things to try with him and I'm the biggest animal lover ever!!! My dogs really are my babies!! But I have to think about the safety of my other animals and Max as well. He would be an AMAZING dog in a home by himself. He's lazy and just wants to cuddle and lay around. He has a goofy personality and hes attached to my 10 year old girl. He's NEVER snapped at us or any kid ever!!! Its just a dominance thing with duke and other dogs. Like I said times he loves to play and wrestle but then snaps when they get in his space. I love this dog dearly!!! And I will be very very picky about who he goes with. My husbands a police officer and has seen some horrific things with animal abuse and that's my biggest fear ever! There will absolutely be a home check and interview the family anf contract written as well. You have no idea how hard this is on our family to make this decision. But I can't keep him for selfish reasons and put everyone on edge all the time. Adoption fee is negotiable. I'm not in it to make money. I just want the absolute best home ever for him!!
