About Sadie

My name is Sadie and I'm looking for a very special home. I am 6 years old and I weigh around 40lbs. I don't remember my past very well but I was in the shelter a long time before BBRH rescued me. You see, I'm healthy except for those nasty heart worms that I'm being treated for, but I'm extremely shy. I need a special family that will help me overcome my shyness. I'm learning that I like to be petted but it takes me a long time to open up. I think before I was taken to the shelter I was left on my own for a long time. I do like food and I'm also learning to take treats out of my foster mom's hand. I think I like others dogs but my foster siblings won't play with me. I'm not sure if it's because they're grouchy or if I'm going about it the wrong way... I don't think I ever played with another dog before. I am extremely smart (I learned to use the doggy door in a matter minutes). I am potty trained as I've never had an accident inside the house and I really like my kennel, I feel safe there.
