YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** The very sad tail of Honeybee who at the age of 12 years old was dropped off at a extremely high kill shelter in such very poor shape by her owner. We seen how bad a shape she was in & her time had run out. We got her out & medically she needed the works. Her fur was barely there, her skin was an absolute mess from neglect, poor nutrition & possible flea infestation. We had to get Honeybee healthy before she could be put under anesthesia. Her skin had a skin scraping done, she still gets medicated baths, she got meds & a good healthy diet then she was well enough to go under to get her dental. Her teeth were so very bad, she had extractions & major extractions. While under it was discovered that her ears were a mess so she also had to have her ears flushed. Honeybee's foster mum has discovered that this sweet lady is deaf & sometimes off in her own world. She is also spayed, weighs 13.2 lbs, a poodle terrier mix, chipped up to date on her shots & loves to eat. She is currently being fostered with other dogs, she should not go to a home with children because of being deaf & needs to go to a home where other dogs are present & someone is always present in the home. All of our sweet souls are rescues so they need a home where the people understand these little lives were thrown away & deserve to be cherished. Honeybee has an adoption fee of $450. Like most dogs in our rescue, Honeybee will need work on potty training. Honeybee has an adoption fee of $450 __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
