About Karma

Beautiful and loyal 2 �%BD year old Karma is looking for a very special family to call her own. She is a 60 pound Boxer mix who enjoys cuddling up with her people as much as she loves going out for walks daily. Karma has mastered home living skills such as crate training, potty training, staying off counters, waiting patiently for her meals, etc. since arriving in foster care. She gets along well with her chi mix buddy who is 12 pounds as well as her other foster fur sibling who is a 45 pound pit mix. She has shown tremendous growth on leash and can be successful with oncoming dogs, people, bikers, and prey when guided by a confident and dog savvy handler. Her ideal home should be one with no cats or rodent type pets due to her strong prey drive. In addition to a cat and rodent free home, homes with chickens and farm animals would not be the best fit for her either. We are also suggesting a home without children because she can be quite sensitive to others' energy and it can be difficult to help her settle down with kids coming in and out frequently. She is quite a jumper and can clear a four foot fence without a running start so supervision outside will be very important for her. Karma can be protective of her people so when meeting new humans and dogs, both inside and outside her home, she needs to be on leash and supported by her handler until she becomes comfortable and familiar with the new interactions. Once comfortable, Karma is affectionate, calm, and an amazingly gentle companion. Her foster family describes her as the most loving and sensitive foster dog they have met through the Rescue. They adore her and are committed to helping her adoptive family with ongoing assistance to help ensure a smooth transition from their home. This support will include visits before the adoption, walk training, and helping to address any questions that may arise. Karma is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and eager to meet her forever family.
