TAZ is a 2 1/5 year old Harlequin Great Dane. This big boy has received full vetting and x-rays in order to assess his physical health. He is cow-hocked, which means that the 'knees' on his back legs are set inward, resulting in a splayed look in the back legs, and he also has Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD). HOD is a bone disease that usually affects young, rapidly growing, large breed dogs. He is NOT in pain right now, and we are making sure we are keeping him comfortable and that he is taking his daily supplements. Taz's exercise should be limited to short leash walks on soft surfaces such as grass. He will need medication as he gets older or when it gets cold when he starts feeling pain due to arthritis. Despite his physical health, Taz is an incredibly sweet and happy boy that loves to goof around. You can find Taz's adoption application here: www.whitekissesgreatdanerescue.com/adopt
