About Corgan

*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Hi there! My name is Corgan, and I am an extra special dog looking for a special family who will give me a loving forever home. I am an super sweet, low-energy 8-year-old Lhasa Apso mix, and I pack a lot of love into my small 18-pound body. If I could humble brag for a moment, I am quite the looker! All your neighbors will stop and say 'My, what a handsome friend you have there!' when we go for leisurely strolls, and they won't be wrong! I have white fur with cream splashes across my coat. But you were immediately drawn into my incredible, big button eyes and giant smile, right? They are my best features, I think, because they perfectly show off my loving, kind, and happy-go-lucky personality! My friends from Fetching Tails Foundation saved me from Chicago Animal Care & Control, where my previous owners surrendered me. I was so happy to leave the busy, overwhelming shelter behind and settle in for some rest and relaxation in my foster home. Since I am a bit older, I am past all the hyper puppy playtime and prefer to find a comfy spot next to my favorite people for a nap. I think I could win an Olympic medal for my napping skills, so if you are looking for a quiet, calm buddy I am definitely the gentleman for you! You might even think my naps are as funny as my foster mommy does, because I lightly snore and stretch my back legs out like a frog. And my favorite activity in the whole wide world is definitely eating my yummy food and treats! I am a foodie, and get so happy when it is snack time. I also enjoy slow, leisurely walkies around the block to get my exercise and do my potty business. I get along well with dogs of all sizes, and even get along with my kitty cat foster siblings! I have excellent house manners and am potty trained (I know to go outside but will also use potty pads if you need to be gone for long hours!) I do fine napping and relaxing while foster mommy is at work. I think I am a pretty perfect quiet roommate! Remember when I said I am an extra special boy? I have a few health issues that I think it is important for my potential adopters to know about. I was in some rough shape before Fetching Tails saved me, but I am getting all the medical care I need now to be happy and healthy! I am deaf, but that doesn't really affect my day-to-day happiness. I also receive medications for my heart and eyes now and am feeling much better because of them! I have a few growths on my back end that my doctor doesn't think should be removed at this time. My foster mommy can fill out in more about my health issues, but I hope you still think I am the sweet, loving boy for you! I have lots of life and love left to share with my special forever family!
