About Beau

Beau is a handsome and healthy,18-pound, male, black and white adult Shih Tzu looking for a loving guardian. Beau enjoys the company of other dogs; I'm not sure if he's ever met a cat. He's a nice dog for the right person, but he is more for the experienced dog-lover who has no children in their home. Sadly, Beau was relinquished to Chicago Animal Care and Control for snapping at family members who were visiting their grandma. He was well-behaved when the groomer trimmed the hair away from his eyes, so he is accustomed to being handled though he has bitten. Beau needs someone who understands a 'bitter' and can work with me and his quirk. Beau is healthy, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. He will be neutered upon adoption.
