About Dixie

Hi there! My name is Dixie. Gosh, I've got a story to tell.. I lived for so long with my humans, & was one day taken to a local kill shelter. They told me they didn't want me anymore. They told the nice people there that I would hardly eat & that all she did was sleep. I think that was because I was depressed, though, because once I got to rescue, I perked up just fine! My medical workup proved that I was just as healthy as I can me for a senior gal. I've had had a complete dental (I'm gonna need dentures - I've only got 5 teeth left)! I am fully vetted & house-trained. I love a good bath & my foster makes me my favorite - egg salad! I prefer canned food versus hard kibble, because of my lack of teeth. I am also blind & have a bit of a hearing loss, but so will you when you're my age! I am not a fan of my foster mom rearranging the furniture, because I'm smart & have it all memorized.
