YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** Andrew and Lohdi are a sweet pair looking for their forever homes. Andrew is an 11 year old Scottish terrier who weighs 42 pounds and his buddy Lohdi is a 9 year old terrier mix who weighs 40 pounds. . They both get along great with other dogs. We haven't had them around cats or children, so we're not sure what they think of them. There was a listing online for a Scottie needing a home so one of our volunteers reached out and spoke to their previous owner. Unfortunately, the previous owner's husband had passed away and she could no longer care for these two charming boys. She had people lined up to adopt Andrew the Scottie, but it didn't work out and we said of course we would take him into our rescue. She also asked if we would we take his friend as well. We had these two lovebugs picked up and brought to our vets. We soon discovered that both dogs had masses that had to be removed immediately and they desperately needed to be groomed. Poor Andrew had several masses removed near his anus and one under his belly. Lohdi also had to have a mass removed. Their masses were sent away for biopsies and came back benign. This silly affectionate pair is ready to find the loving forever homes they deserve. Like all rescue dogs, they will need house training and obedience training. Andrew & Lohdi have an adoption fee of $1000 if adopted together. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved in a safe environment with a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
