About Prince

Prince is a 3 year old male Jack Russell, Dachshund mix, about 15 pounds. Prince (and his brother Max) came into rescue very scared and quite defensive. He was not sure why his world was turned upside down. He was raised in a backyard,. never went anywhere and was barely acknowledged by his last owner. Being a true Doxie, change and strangers are not his favorite thing. With love and patience, we gave him time and he blossomed. He is still timid with strangers but is happy, bouncy and will leap into your arms for kisses. He also loves to eat so the key to his heart will be cheese and hot dogs! He is not leash trained yet and will require a fenced yard as he is still a flight risk until he is bonded to you. He needs to be in an adult only home with preferably another confident dog to help him discover the world. He is a sweet boy who needs a patient and understanding adopter who will give him the time and training he needs. Prince is neutered, up to date on vaccines and micro chipped. Noodles is a cuddly little guy who would love to sit on your lap for hours. He will even pat your hand with his paw if he wants petted. He is good with other dogs, and children. He is such a sweet dog, who will love you as long as he lives. He makes great connections with new people, and does not run and hide from visitors. He is low energy, and does not bark often. He is a lovable, goofy dog, and he just wants a forever home and his own person. He would do great in a home with older kids or in a retirement home where the grand children come to visit.
