Samantha was pulled from animal control just prior to hurricane Harvey. We think she is a rat terrier mix around 3 years of age and weighing 31 pounds. She is mostly white with a very cool brown mask on her face and brown patches on her back leg and tail. The tip of her tongue is split. It was that way when we got her - it looks odd - but does not bother her at all. Samantha is a good dog, she is very sweet, loving and playful . She likes to jump up and sit or balance on top of things like a circus dog. Samantha likes to chase squirrels and birds in the yard. She plays well with other dogs but we think that her interest in cats may not be a good one. Samantha is house trained, crate trained, and otherwise good in the house. We want Samantha to be allowed in the house as a loved member of the family. She needs to be walked on a leash and needs a secure fenced yard to run and play. Samantha is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is positive with a low load of heartworms that is being treated with the proven 'slow kill' method. The medication to complete her treatment will be provided. Samantha has a $80.00 adoption fee.
