Xena is a beautiful silver dapple, short-haired 12 yo, female dachshund. She has been spayed and weighs 12 pounds. Xena is friendly girl after she gets over her initial shyness upon meeting someone new. Xena is very easy going and gets along well with other dogs, cats and children. She enjoys sleeping in the big bed in her Texas foster home, and would be happy to have a home where she could continue to have big bed privileges. Xena is also happy sleeping in her own doggie bed on the floor. Xena is not a picky eater; however, as with most dachshunds, she will have a tendency to overeat if allowed. This amazing little lady has no issues with walking on a leash or riding in the car. She has no separation anxieties when left alone during the day. Xena is crate trained and house trained, and like most dachshunds does best when she is kept on a schedule. Like all dachshunds she will need to be confident in her environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important. Xena is up to date with all her shots, has beautiful shiny white teeth, HW- and is currently on preventative. This beautiful doxie lady would make a great addition to any family!
