Mia - AVAILABLE! :) F, 2 y/o, 35 lbs Beagle / Doxy mix Spayed ///// Mia is a super sweet, bouncy little girl who's very eager to satisfy but very timid. She opens up excitedly and without reservation for women but remains cautious and shy around men especially when men approach with something in hand (i.e. leash), talk loudly, or make sudden movements or loud noise. Mia needs a place that can contain her from bolting while she continues to learn that people won't hurt her anymore. She enjoys getting loved on by both men and women, but is just shy when a man approaches. Mia is a real sweetie who gets along with other dogs and cats, too! ///// HISTORY: Milo (FKA 'Chocho'), Mia, and Chloe were a trio kenneled together at the kill-shelter, part of a 9-dog confiscation from their owner by animal control officers. Another rescue pulled Chloe leaving Mia and 'Chocho' (now Milo) behind. We immediately had our vet examine, blood-test, treat, and get both pups on the road to recovery. Both were extremely shy and terrified of males & being on leashes but our fosters have been working closely with both.
