About Turnip

Rabbit
Age: Baby
Sex: Female

Turnip 135 17-62 Neutered Male Californian (Albino) 3 Months old White / Silver 3.3 pounds I was surrendered to the rescue by someone who drove from Winston Salem NC to Wilmington to make sure that I went to a good home. The person who surrendered my Mom and Dad (with a litter of babies) said that we were dropped off at her house and 3 days my Mom gave birth to a litter of babies. The person that surrendered us to the rescue said they could not find anyone that wanted us other than people who intended to eat us. Turnip is outgoing, friendly, calm, active, and easy going. The shelter describes me as a 'Bluebell' which means that in the shelter I was observed hiding and cowering at times but I also exhibited other behaviors such as exploring, grooming, playing, greeting, headshaking, thumping, and binkies. I may occasionally nip if I am mishandled. In homes, bluebells are often friendly, interactive rabbits, but may be cage protective and nip at a person reaching into their area. Some bluebells likes to be 'explorer rabbits' in their permanent homes. They are very active, usually gentle, but may not like to sit still from much cuddling. Bluebells often gets along with other rabbits if properly introduced and a few may be able to tolerate children if they are not over handled. Blue bells may nip if they are restrained against their will.
