About Hippie

Hippie is a little beagle mix with an estimated age of 3 years. He came into rescue with a piece of metal sticking out of his hip. We thought he had been injured but a trip to the vet showed that the metal had actually been used in an unsuccessful surgery to fix a broken hip! Hippie's leg was repaired again, and this time the surgery was successful. It is a complete mystery to us what originally happened or where he came from. But now he has no lasting effects of his hip surgery--he runs and plays and jumps up on top of dog house with reckless abandon. he gets along well with other dogs and loves people.
