About Raven

Poor Raven had a tragic start in life. She had apparently been used as a bait dog and was covered in wounds in various stages of healing. If that wasn't bad enough, she was also starving and carrying a litter of puppies that had died inside of her and caused a near fatal infection. You might think all she had been through would affect her spirit, but Raven has been completely well behaved, gentle and affectionate since coming into rescue. She craves attention and loves to spend time with us. However she is very selective in the dogs she will accept and we strongly recommend that she be an only pet. Raven has been through so much suffering--she deserves to spend the rest of her life knowing only love and she would return that love many times over. We estimate her birthdate as early 2015. We do have special requirements for the adoption of pit bulls and pit bull mixes, including reference checks, a home visit, and that the dog be primarily an indoor pet. This is to protect the dog from ever knowing the pain poor Raven experienced. The adoption fee is $150.
