About Mikey

Mikey is fostered in TX through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org. Mikey is a 10lb. 7 yr. old Yorkie boy who came to United Yorkie Rescue in July 2017. Mikey was an abandoned little boy, how anyone could abandon this precious boy is beyond imagining, he's the sweetest soul. Mikey is showing signs of cataracts already, likely the result of poor diet and care. He's on a high protein diet in an effort to repair some damage, but we do not know if this will help. Mikey will need a home committed to providing him with high quality food for the rest of his life, something he clearly didn't get in his young years but deserves for the remainder of his days. Mikey seems to have lived in a crate most his life, and from what we know, he was homeless for about three years. Mikey loves being where ever his foster mom is and will need a home where he's not left along for long periods of time. Mikey is fine as an only dog, he does not get along well with cats and children in his life need to older in their teens. This sweet boy has so much joy and love to give, he just wants to be the king of his castle and love of your life.
