Pepper is a beautiful tortoiseshell cat. I honestly don't know the breed. I checked Persian because that is what she most looks like. I have had cats for many years but recently had allergy testing for asthma symptoms and was surprised to find that I am extremely allergic to cats. At our former rural residence, Pepper spent a great deal of time outdoors. She hunted there and brought often brought mice to the door. Now that we live in a suburban area, she has mainly been indoors. I try to encourage her to go out, but she seems homesick for her former environment. Also she does not get along with my new dog, a rescue mix breed. Pepper did get along with my former dog, a black lab. Pepper seems to particularly be fond of adult men...she adores my husband with whom she is very affectionate and tolerates me. She is playful...loves to chase string. Pepper uses her box faithfully, eats only dry food and is very low maintenance. My sense is that she would do well in a home where she felt comfortable going outdoors, somewhere with a large yard or a farm. She fell from a tree three years ago and broke a back leg. After surgery, it has healed COMPLETELY. I do not need a fee for Pepper but an small donation to rescueme.org would be appropriate and kind. I don't really want to part with her, but I must for my health issues. Thank you for your consideration.
