About Bodie

ABOUT ME: Bodie is a stunning 6.5 year old Cane Corso that is ready to find his forever family. Bodie and his lady friend, Bea, were confiscated from their previous owner after he was charged with cruelty and neglect. Since coming to The Bullpen, they have undergone an amazing physical transformation, but Bodie is still working to overcome the psychological trauma of his previous life. Because of the way he was treated in his old home, Bodie can be shy and stand-offish with new people. However, once he learns to trust you, he's a total lover and snuggle monster. WHAT I NEED IN A HOME: Bodie is a submissive boy who looks to his pal Bea for guidance and reassurance, so he would probably do best in a home with a large, confident female. Since households with lots of activity, regular visitors, and/or small or multiple children would probably overwhelm him, Mr. B needs to go to a quiet, consistent home where he could relax and enjoy his golden years. We haven't seen Bodie with little dogs, but he may learn to live with one if his new people were committed to a slow, proper introduction. Bodie barks at the barn cat whenever it comes to visit, but we can't say for sure how he would do living with one in a home. THE DETAILS: Bodie is housebroken, knows how to use a dog door and is learning basic commands. He is vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting.
