Fosters are the backbone of animal rescue. In most EVERY shelter - in most EVERY county - in most EVERY city - animals are being euthanized (KILLED) daily due to overcrowding - dog - cat - large - small - male - female - puppy - kitten - old - young. We cannot save them without foster homes. APPROXIMATELY ONE OUT OF THREE ANIMALS THAT ENTER A SHELTER IS EUTHANIZED. These healthy sweet pets would have made great companions. Don't know what fostering is? Briefly - it is babysitting an animal until he/she is adopted. FOSTERING IS FREE TO DO! Most rescues cover all expenses for fosters, and anything they do not cover is tax-deductible. If you cannot foster - please ask your friends and family to. If you want more information - Google 'animal fostering.' I'm begging - it's only temporary but lives can't be saved unless people step up - PLEASE - shelters are overflowing - when you foster one animal - you save two lives - the one you foster and the one that gets his/her space in the shelter. If you can/will foster - let me know, I thank you - and the animals thank you! PS - Have you ever dreamed of helping a rescue but don't have the time, space, or just plain don't know what to do? At your pet limit? Allergic? Can't have pets where you live? Well - how about becoming a VIRTUAL FOSTER... You can choose a minimum amount of $10 a month to 'virtually' foster a homeless animal of your choice (of course, a larger sum would be happily accepted and appreciated). What does Virtual Foster mean? Our foster fur babies typically have many veterinary bills, as this is the nature of being rescued. There are also other expenses related to the ongoing care and rehab of fosters. As a Virtual Foster, your donation will go towards the vetting - medical care, and general care of the animal you have chosen. Your donation will go a LONG way in ensuring a foster dog receives the needed care and attention! In return for your kind tax-deductible donation, you will receive a periodic update on the progress of your foster. Once your foster is adopted, you will be notified so that you can choose another animal to virtually foster. If you genuinely cannot adopt or foster, there are still other ways to help. Sponsor an adoption or medical treatment. Volunteer your time - drive for transports, rescue groups always need dogs transported from one place to the next. Donate money, our rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations are tax deductible. Educate - spread the word about the need for fosters. Sign up for notifications from your local rescue group or shelter, and share the animals in need on social media, there are so many ways to help - thank you, please share this post
