Gage is a Mountain Cur mix with a heart of gold. His favorite spot is with his head on your lap or chasing squirrels. Gage has a strong prey instinct and needs a lot of space to run and chase squirrels or birds. He will climb to get to prey. For this reason, he is not a good dog for a house with cats or small yards. He does best with regular exercise, but is not a high energy dog indoors. He is happiest with other dogs and is wonderfully submissive and sweet with children. We adopted him 2 years ago, but he has never been able to get along with our cat (we were told he was fine with cats and wasn't identified as a Mountain Cur) and our yard is simply too small for him to fully hunt. He needs a home with a large yard and preferably other dogs, as he does best when part of a pack. He is completely up to date on all his shots, very well trained, and has no health issues.
