About Oreo

'Hello there, I'm Oreo! I'm a 45 lb, 5 1/2 year old Lab mix in search of a very special forever home. I LOVE other dogs and I'm good with older children who don't make lots of sudden movements, but I get pretty nervous with adults. My ideal home would have another dog in it so I can snuggle up to the other dog and get some confidence from them. I prefer women over men, so if there's a male in the house they'll need to understand that. I was originally picked up as a stray in NC. It took many sightings and attempts to rescue me, and I was finally caught after I had been hit by a car. I was pregnant when I was found and was a very good mom and I physically healed up well without complications. It's been a little over a year since I've been in foster care and I could really use a forever home. I also am amazing on a leash, and love going on walks! I'm a very sweet natured girl and once I warm up to you, I'm happy to get up on the couch and watch TV or chew on my toys near by you. I'm not big on cuddling with you - that's still kinda scary for me. I'm on anti-anxiety medication, so I will need to stay on that.
